Four of the last five National Champions were either rated
#1 or #2 by SBPI – the lone outlier was the 2010 Auburn Tigers who checked in at
#12.
Looking back at the past five seasons provides us more depth
& background at how successful the SBPI is; back-testing any model is
critical before putting it “into action”, and we see how solid the results are
after one plus year of tweaks on it. You
can also compare teams across seasons by using the ratings column on far right.
